BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 11. -- The leaders of the outbreak in the Aldrich mine, which began at 8 A.M., are reported to include white prisoners who were principals in the revolt at Banner Mines in Walkins County on Sept. 10, 1923. That outbreak led to a movement by State Convict Board officials to better conditions under which leased convicts worked in privately owned mines.
