Oil Counsel Get Commissions and Start Work; Promise to Lose No Time in Prosecution

WASHINGTON, Feb. 19. -- President Coolidge placed today in the hands of Owen J. Roberts and Atlee Pomerene, the Government's special counsel, commissions giving them unlimited authority to handle the oil prosecutions as they see fit. Messrs. Pomerene and Roberts, it was explained at the White House, had a status in the oil cases similar to that enjoyed by the Attorney General.
