LONDON, March 12. -- The outstanding event of the past week in the theatre was, or should have been, "The Forest," a new play by John Galsworthy. The qualification is made because in this play the brilliant novelist-dramatist is not at his happiest.

A preliminary report by the receiver yesterday indicated that the creditors of the banking fir mof Knauth, Nachod Kuhne, who failed for about $12,000,000, would probably receive not more than 20 per cent, of their claims in the final settlement. Total assets so far recovered are $4,369,077.
