CHICAGO, Feb. 4 (Associated Press). -- Charles R. Forbes, former director of the Veterans' Bureau, and John W. Thompson, a wealthy St. Louis contractor, were sentenced today to two years' imprisonment in Leavenworth Penitentiary and fined $10,000 by Federal Judge George A. Carpenter.
