Thirty-three track and field stars, among them some of the foremost college and club athletes of the country and representing one of the strongest athletic squads it is possible to assemble, came through with performances which qualified them to represent the Eastern district yesterday in the Metropolitan A.A.U.'s national championship track and field tryouts, held at Travers Island.
