New York's army of schoolboy athletes had their annual field day yesterday at Brooklyn Athletic Field on the occasion of the Public Schools Athletic League's championship track and field meets for elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools. More than 6,000 youngsters participated in a program of forty-eight championship events, which started in the morning and continued almost without interruption until dusk.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 22. -- Bayes Norton, captain of the Yale varsity track team, believes in fractions of points. Three years ago, when leader of his freshmen team, the Blue beat the Harvard first-year team by one-third of a point. Today in the dual meeting with the Harvard varsity, Yale again won by this narrow margin, the score being 67 2-3 points to 67 1-3, the closest result on record.
