HAVANA, Cuba, Oct. 20 (AP). -- Cuba felt the blast of a West Indian hurricane today and after six hours of terrific wind and raging seas Havana to night counts a casualty list of thirty dead and 300 injured, according to official announcement. Her streets are clogged with fallen trees and wreckage, part of the city is under water and many of her buildings show the devastating marks of the great storm.
