NEW ORLEANS, May 6. -- No new crevasses or rumors of impending disaster along the far-flung Louisiana levee lines were reported today, due to the fact that the crest of the Mississippi flood has slowed down following the minor breaks in the levees north of Vicksburg and south of Natchez.
