MONTAUK, L.I., Aug. 13. -- Twice breaking the record for the 30-mile heat and setting a new mark for the 90-mile total race, Horace E. Dodge's Delphine IV, piloted by Bill Horn of Newport News, Va., captured the Gold Cup, America's premier speedboat prize, on Lake Montauk today, to register a decisive victory over George Reis's El Lagarto.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 13. -- A new world's record by Miss Helene Madison of Seattle, a clean sweep of the high-platform diving by three Americans -- Harold (Dutch) Smith, Mickey Riley Galitzen and Frank Kurtz -- and two more championships for Japan marked the close of the Olympic aquatic program before two crowds of 12,000 each in morning and afternoon sessions today.
