Fuel Used Up Rapidly.; FRENCH FLIERS SET DISTANCE RECORD
DAMASCUS, Syria, Aug. 7 (AP). -- The airplane Joseph Lebrix, piloted by the Frenchmen, Maurice Rossi and Paul Codos, landed at the military airfield at Rayak, about thirty miles from here, at 5:10 o'clock this evening, Greenwich Mean Time (1:10 P.M. in New York), with the proud claim of having shattered the world distance record by nearly 600 miles.
