Cold at North Pole Camp Eases Fear of Ice-Break

The first signs of Arctic Winter cheered the Soviet North Pole camp today, easing the fear that the ice floe upon which it was encamped would break. The temperature dropped below freezing, to 30.2 degrees Fahrenheit, and snow fell.
