Alfonse Marcello D'Amato is an American attorney, lobbyist, and Republican politician who represented the state of New York in the United States Senate from 1981 to 1999. From 1995 to 1999, he chaired the Senate Banking Committee. As of 2025, he is the last Republican to serve New York in the U.S. Senate.

Josip Broz, commonly known as Tito, was a Yugoslav communist revolutionary and politician. During World War II, he led the Yugoslav Partisans, often regarded as the most effective resistance movement in German-occupied Europe. Tito led Yugoslavia as prime minister from 1944 to 1963, and president from 1953 until his death in 1980. The political ideology and policies promulgated by Tito are known as Titoism.
