Displaying courage that carried them ever onward, even when their strength was failing them, the New York Americans eliminated their city rivals, the Rangers, from the post-season play-offs for the right to battle for the world's hockey championship in a long-drawn-out game which ended at 1:25 this morning on the Madison Square Garden ice.
