Gain of 369,000 Jobs Shown in August Survey

The National Industrial Conference Board reported yesterday that 10,590,000 workers were unemployed in August, a drop of 369,000 from the July total. This estimate included as unemployed 3,475,000 workers in the WPA, Civilian Conservation Corps and other government works agencies.
