Cornell scored the outstanding victory of the day in the East, defeating Dartmouth before a record crowd of 30,486 at Ithaca. This was the first setback for the Green in twenty-three contests. Princeton meanwhile earned a decisive triumph over Yale in the sixty-second game of their series as 50,000 looked on. Two major contests, the Fordham-North Carolina and Penn-Penn State, resulted in ties. Navy came back into the winning column by rallying to Conquer Columbia.
