ANKARA, Turkey, June 9 -- British troops, supported by Imperial and "Free French" forces, are pushing into Syria and Lebanon from several directions, supported by aircraft and naval bombardments along the Mediterranean shore. The Jerusalem radio announced that motorized detachments were nearing Damascus.
