MOSCOW, Saturday, Jan. 22 -- Rapidly following up their crushing blows on the right and left flanks of the German positions in northern Russia, Red Army units under the command of Generals Leonid A. Govoroff and Kirill A. Meretskoff yesterday struck in a combined frontal attack at the railway junction of Mga and wrested from German hands that vital link on Leningrad's rail communications with central Russia.
