SAIPAN, the Marianas, Friday, Nov. 24 -- The United States launched a mighty aerial weapon -- the brand-new Twenty-first Bomber Command of the Twentieth Army Air Force -- straight at the heart of Japan today. A great task force of B-29 Superfortresses thundered into the dawn at breath-taking one-minute intervals from this island, which five months ago belonged to Japan.
