Benjamin Hale Cheever was born on October 8, 1948 to Mary Winternitz and writer John Cheever and is an American writer and editor. His sister is Susan Cheever. He has written four adult fiction novels, one children's book, and two nonfiction books.
1948Claude Jade, French actress (died 2006)[â ]
Claude Marcelle Jorré, better known as Claude Jade, was a French actress. She starred as Christine in François Truffaut's three films Stolen Kisses (1968), Bed and Board (1970) and Love on the Run (1979). Jade acted in theatre, film and television. Her film work outside France included the Soviet Union, the United States, Italy, Belgium, Germany and Japan. She was most famous on television as the heroine of the mysterious adventure series The Island of Thirty Coffins (1979). She was also the leading actress in the first French daily soap Cap des Pins (1998-2000). Her last role was playing CélimÚne in the 2006 film CélimÚne et le cardinal.

John William Cummings, better known by his stage name Johnny Ramone, was an American musician who was the guitarist and a founding member of the Ramones, a band that helped pioneer the punk movement. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Until the band's disbandment in 1996, Johnny, along with the lead vocalist Joey Ramone, were the only two original members who stayed since its inception, and appeared on every one of the bandâs albums.
