Bankers who believed that further credit restrictions were not likely to be authorized in view of the current deflationary trend received a public warning last week. The caution was delivered by their own titular leader, Evans Woollen Jr., president of the American Bankers Association, in an address here before the group's annual Trust Conference.

Chairman Edward P. F. Eagan of the State Athletic Commission will be asked on Tuesday to listen to a protest over Referee Eddie Joseph's handling of the featherweight battle in which Willie Pep regained the world title from Sandy Saddler last Friday night in Madison Square Garden. At the same time, he will be asked to entertain a request for a return bout between the 126-pound rivals.
