WASHINGTON, April 22 -- Senator Styles Bridges, Republican of New Hampshire, said today that he had been assured by officials of the State and Defense Departments that evidence was being gathered for use in any war crimes trials that might grow out of the Korean war. He said that reports of atrocities committed against United Nations personnel by Communist troops were "sadly and unfortunately correct."
