LONDON, Aug. 29--The Peiping radio broadcast a new warning tonight to the offshore island of Quemoy. It called on the Chinese Nationalist garrison to "stop resistance immediately and return to the fatherland--otherwise you will be totally destroyed."

Muriel Janet Gray FRSE is a Scottish author, broadcaster and journalist.
