Council gets 5 bills: (1) levying 10¢-a-ride taxi tax to yield $20 million; (2) raising from 1/4 of 1% to 2/5 of 1% gross receipts tax of gen business and from 1 to 1 1/2% of financial business, to yield $55.5 million; exemption to be on 1st $10,000 for gen business, $5,000 for financial business; (3) doubling of 1% gross business tax on utilities to yield $13 million; (4) levying 1/2 of 1% tax on real estate sales to yield $1 million; sales to $25,000 exempt; (5) levying vending machine tax, ltd to juke boxes, to yield $500,000; Wagner to name com to study operations of taxi tax

Susan Claire Cowsill is a musician, vocalist and songwriter. She rose to prominence as a member of the family band The Cowsills. After touring with Dwight Twilley for quite some time in the 1980s, she co-formed the band Continental Drifters. Since 1990, she has been with the Cowsills, along with brothers Bob and Paul.
