ICC unanimously approves PRR-NY Central merger, biggest in corporate history, on condition combined system takes over alt freight and passenger operations of bankrupt NY,NY&H; now co to be known as Penna NY Central Transportation Co; will have assets of over $4-billion, placing it among 10 largest nonfinancial corps; will operate over 19,000 mi of rd and handle about 1/8 of US rr freight; cos see savings totaling $81-million a yr after 8 yrs; ICC says its aim was to open way for modernized system 'trimmed of unnecessary plant, unencumbered by service obligations no longer responsive to pub needs'; sees system in position to compete with motor and water carriers and with C&O-B&O and N&W other conditions include: payment of indemnities by merged co to Erie-Lackawanna, D&H and B&M RRs in any yr revenues of these rrs are less than a standard based on their '64 revenues; that these 3 rrs be asked to be included in PRR-NY Central if they are excluded from N&W system; acceptance of NY, Susquehanna & Western in consol system; making Lehigh Valley RR, now controlled by PRR, available for merger to C&O or N&W and absorbing it if neither line seeks merger; ICC bars cut in work force unless business drops 5% or more in any 30-day work period; PRR chmn Saunders to be chmn and chief exec, NY Central pres Perlman pres and chief operating officer; map

John Patrick Daly is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. Daly is known primarily for his driving distance off the tee, his non-country-club appearance and attitude, his exceptionally long backswing, the inconsistency of his play, and his personal life. His two greatest on-course accomplishments are his "zero-to-hero" victory in the 1991 PGA Championship, and his playoff victory over Costantino Rocca in the 1995 Open Championship.

Todd Anthony Shaw, better known by his stage name Too Short, is an American rapper. A pioneer of West Coast hip-hop, Shaw was among the first acts to receive recognition in the genre during the late 1980s. His lyrics were often based on pimping and promiscuity, but also drug culture and street survival; exemplified respectively in his most popular singles "Blow the Whistle" and "The Ghetto". He is one of few acts to have worked with both Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. during the heights of their respective careers.
