Gallant Bloom "all the way" was the cry at the $100,860 Matron Stakes at Aqueduct yesterday. The King Ranch filly, trained by the 88-year-old Max Hirsch and ridden by the dependable Eddie Belmonte, won the six-furlong dash for 2-year-old fillies by nine lengths over the Wheatley Stable's Irradiate, with Queen's Double of the Meadow Stable next by two more lengths.
