Do Men Really Hate Women?

THEY are so very serious. The youngsters who have come trouping into the main plaza at Lincoln Center&#8212;from all of the neighborhoods of New York City, from Washington, D. C., and from as far away as Watts in California&#8212;to perform the improvised plays and readings and rock musicals that now constitute the phenomenon known as Street Theater are of course ready on cue to thrust their heads forward from rhythm&#8208;wracked shoulders, to let their hips lurch away from them in instinctive response to a beat, to lock their hands over their heads and prance pony&#8208;style across the mall. It was to be expected that they could do these things, and&#8212;having been born to the itch&#8212;do them well. But who would have guessed behave with such gravity?
