DURHAM, N. C., Jan. 22 —Robby West of Duke hit a 20‐foot shot with five seconds left today to hand third‐ranked North Carolina its second loss of the season in a 76‐74 upset.

WASHINGTON — President Nixon, in steel‐gray attire, seemed to hurry through his text, though he appeared not the least bit nervous.
