Poll in California Predicts A Big McGovern Victory

June 2: (Dem Aspirants' Activities) California Poll indicates Sen McGovern will win sweeping victory over Sen Humphrey in Califs June 6 Pres primary; McGovern is favored by 46% of those polled, Humphrey by 26%, Gov Wallace, who will be writeâin candidate, by 8%, Repr Chisholm by 2%, Sens Muskie, Jackson, and McCarthy each by 1%, Mayors Yorty and Lindsay by 1% each, with 13% of voters undecided; McGovern has increased support from 7% of voters in Feb, to 31% on May 1, and up to 46% in present poll; ABC News, which conducted similar poll, also shows McGovern with wide lead; M D Field, operator of Calif Poll, repts McGovern leads in all major Calif regions, among both sexes, all age groups except those over 65, among union and nonunion members, all minority groups and religions; R Clark, former Atty Gen, and Repr B S Abzug, both NY Dems, endorse McGovern
