First National City Bank (NYC): Former asst vp and branch mgr of First Natl City Bank H A Bonhag is indicted on Sept 25 on charges of embezzling $1,142,000 and falsifying bank records to conceal scheme; Fed grand jury indictment charges that alleged embezzlement scheme, complicated series of transactions involving transfer of depositors' funds to half-dozen fictitious accts as well as withdrawals from latter, took place from Jan '66 to Sept '71; bank official says that scheme cost bank $391,000; says this figure takes into acct $40,000 that Bonhag returned; rest apparently was never withdrawn and remained in different accts used in scheme; bank says it made good all losses suffered by 4 depositors whose funds were used at various times; largest sum of restitution, $305,000, went to estate of late E J Kelly; Bonhag is accused of 3 counts of embezzlement and of 45 counts of making false entries in bank records; bank officials say embezzling came to light after Kelly died in June '71 and auditors began acctg of his estate
