Britain Asks Pact to Limit Wage Increases to 10%

Chancellor of the Exchequer Denis Healey, in surprise statement to House of Commons, warns labor and management that unless they devise voluntary plan limiting wage increase to 10%, Govt will move toward statutory controls on incomes, prices and dividends; announcement, following Cabinet meeting, represents Prime Min Harold Wilson Govt's strongest pledge so far to curb GB's inflation, now at 25%; announcement produces increase in value of pound in internatl currency mkts and stock market reverses its downward trend and closes with substantial gains; announcement also results in immediate outcry from left wing of Labor party, which argues that legal constraints on free bargaining will violate past pledges by Wilson's Govt and will weigh heavily and unfairly on those at lower end of income scale; Healey says Govt will publish white paper next wk setting forth its policy and describing sanctions that will be invoked unless voluntary agreement is reached (M)

Erik Ohlsson is the lead and rhythm guitarist of Swedish punk rock band Millencolin. He currently resides in Örebro, Sweden. He designs almost all of the band's artwork, including their t-shirts, logos, cover artwork, and their official homepage. Ohlsson edited and designed Millencolin's 1998 video Millencolin and the Hi-8 Adventures. He also works as a freelance graphic designer at Eckhouse Design. He still skateboards from time to time, but like the other two members of Millencolin who skate, the time available to do so has been taken up by various side projects. He has a dog named Colin. In the early albums of the band, he played most of the lead guitars. However, in the band's more recent albums, he plays most of rhythm guitar parts, and usually the main solos. He can be seen doing so in their latest live concerts or watching in YouTube their last presentations.

James Robertson Justice was a British actor. He often portrayed pompous authority figures in comedies, including each of the seven films in the Doctor series. He also co-starred with Gregory Peck in several adventure movies, notably The Guns of Navarone. Born in south-east London to a Scottish father, he became prominent in Scottish public life, helping to launch Scottish Television (STV) and serving as Rector of the University of Edinburgh.
