Sadai Assails ‘Pressure’ By Palestinians and Soviet
Egyptian Pres Sadat, in defiant and angry televised speech, pledges on Sept 15 that no amt of pressure from USSR, Palestinians or any other source will cause Egypt to deviate from policy he has chosen for it; describes Palestinian guerrillas who are holding Egyptian Embassy in Madrid as being duped by false information spread by USSR and Syria; says he has agreed to request by guerrillas to be flown to Algeria along with their hostages and Iraqi and Algerian Ambs to Madrid; accuses USSR and Syria of deliberately seeking to divide Arab world and isolate Egypt; accuses USSR of trying to poison minds of Arabs against him by saying that there are secret clauses in Egyptian-Israeli Sinai agreement he negotiated with Sec Kissinger; denies Soviet accusation that Egyptian takeover of Voice of Palestine, Cairo radio broadcasting set-up of PLO, was done so in obedience to secret provision of agreement; relates that 4 MIG-25 reconnaissance planes stationed in Egypt refused to fly anywhere near Israeli-occupied Sinai and how therefore he had come to conclusion that planes, which were being flown by Soviet pilots, were in Egypt for reasons that had nothing to do with Egyptian security; says that for this reason he grounded planes and they were withdrawn 3 days ago; informed Communist-bloc sources reptd almost 2 mos ago that planes were withdrawn at that time; sources say implication of Sadat's statement is that planes were being used for spy missions against US Mediterranean fleet; Sadat also charges that USSR refused to give Egypt modern bridging equipment for crossing of Suez Canal, and that Egyptian attack, in 1st hrs of Oct '73 war had to be made with pontoons of World War II vintage; repeats earlier statements that Soviet Premier Kosygin and Amb Vladimir M Vinogradov put pressure on him during '73 war to enter into what he calls premature cease-fire; purpose of Sadat's address is to commem 2d anniversary of '73 war (M)
