Official FBI repts show FBI agents burglarized NYC offices of Socialist Workers Party and its affiliated orgns on at least 92 occasions from '60 to '66; documents show burglaries produced about 10,000 photographs of documents and correspondence concerning virtually every aspect of party's business, including defense strategies of members involved in Fed legal proceedings; documents were obtained by party through its Freedom of Information suit against Govt; disclosure of burglaries directly contradicts assertion by Justice Dept that Socialist Workers Party had never been target of burglaries by Fed agents; party spokesman says group's attys may ask Judge Thomas P Griesa to make summary judgment in $27-million suit, based on apparent inaccuracy of Justice Dept's testimony, or may continue civil process; records made public Mar 28 describe break-ins at 5 NYC sites; FBI Dir Clarence M Kelley acknowledged last July that FBI had conducted what he called 'surreptitious entries' from time of World War II until late '60s but that they had been undertaken only to obtain information relative to US security and had been 'paramount in the protection of the country from subversive forces'; Kelley says practice of burglary is being revd by Justice Dept, int in US News & World Rept conducted before burglaries of Socialist Workers office were publicly known; FBI testimony before Sen Select Intelligence Com noted; just-disclosed records also tell of entries at offices once used by Young Socialist Alliance, Committee to Aid the Bloomington Students, burglary at Los Angeles home of then-Socialist Workers Party natl chmn James P Cannan and burglary at Hamden, Conn, home that repts indicate was occupied by party member; counterintelligence operations designed to disrupt party's activities (L)
