The dolls are completed about a week after receipt of a clear photograph of the subject (and any additional information that would be of help). Miss McVey also does lifesize dolls, for lots more money, or trapunto‐finished dolls for something under double the usual price. The New York State Board of Social Welfare yesterday revoked the right of the Korean Cultural and Freedom Foundation to solicit funds in the state.

Tens of thousands or people in New York and seven other states may lose millions of dollars because of the financial difficulties of two little‐known companies that sold them money orders to pay their rent, electricity, insurance and other basic bills.

 

CAPE TOWN, Jan. 25—The apparent collapse of Britain's attempt to resolve the Rhodesian dispute has left many of those involved hoping for intervention by the United States, but it is far from clear how Washington can unravel a tanglethat has foiled seven efforts since 1965. The Freedom National Bank, New York's only blackcontrolled commercial bank, which two years ago as a result of $1.7 million in losses came dangerously close collapse, has significantly reduced. those losses, and, for the first time in four years, realized a “modest” monthly profit, according to its management.
