Salomone Rossi, a Jewish composer who worked in the courts of three dukes of Mantua, Italy, also left behind music he wrote in 1622 for a Sabbath service. Cantor Jason N. Bauch of Temnle Emanu‐El in East Meadow, L.I., is reviving Rossi's score for tonight's unusual service. “We're doing this for the fun of it,” says the cantor, “but we also want to show Jewish people that we have a gigantic tradition of music from different parts of the world.” Cantor Bauch has arranged Rossi's composition for organ, harpsichord, bassoon, violin and two recorders. Music by other Renaissance composers will also be heard during the service, which begins at R:15 P.M. and is open to the public. From New York City take the Long Island Expressway to the Meadowbrook Parkway. Follow the Hempstead Turnpike to Merrick Avenue and turn right. The temple is at 123 Merrick Avenue.
