Looking around for something to call their musical group, which blends Renaissance, Baroque, jazz and Indian elements to produce an &#8220;other&#8208;wordly sound,&#8221; five young Long Island must= cians came up with &#8220;Lothlorien.&#8221; It is, after all, the name of that &#8220;other-wordly&#8221; forest in Tolkien's &#8220;Lord of the Rings.&#8221; For almost five years now, the quintet - Jim Palmer, Rebecca Dunnel, Yvonne Cable, Chris Weigers and Larry LeMasters - has been appearing on the local library&#8208;school circuit, bringing its unusual sound to anyone who would listen. Today at 2:30 P.M. the group moves its flutes, recorders, oboe, cello, string bass, piano, sitar, sarod, tamboura, tablas and drums into the Half Hollow Hills Community Library, 55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills, for free concert.
