UNITED NATIONS, N.Y., Aug. 21 —Israel's chief delegate here met today with officials of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to discuss the group's new support for the Palestinians and he later criticized the organization, suggesting that diplomatic issues in the Middle East were best left to the countries involved.
