THE O.A.S. AGREES TO ISOLATE CHIEFS OF HAITIAN JUNTA
The Organization of American States agreed late tonight on a campaign of diplomatic pressure to isolate the new military junta in Haiti and restore the elected Government of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. O.A.S. officials said they had agreed on a resolution calling for a suspension of all economic, commercial, diplomatic and military assistance to the coup leaders. They also agreed that if these steps did not lead to a restoration of democracy, they would consider other measures, which they declined to specify at this time.
