But the administration, doing some long-range planning, decided that being the safety school was not good enough. So in 1984, it began a brash campaign aimed at moving the school into the nation's top tier of universities. And according to academics around the country who have looked on with envy, the strategy worked.
An audience of 1,400 people took their seats at the Civic Center here the other night for a performance, financed in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, featuring men dancing in skirts, women dancing with women, fetishism, strong language and open mockery of Little Rock, Ark. It was "South Pacific," and the people loved it. They swayed to the strains of "Some Enchanted Evening" and beamed at the chorus boys. And at intermission, many praised the notion of Washington's kicking back a little of their tax money so that they could enjoy the show.

1995Kei, South Korean singer[β ]
Kim Ji-yeon , known professionally as Kei (μΌμ΄), is a South Korean singer and musical actress. She rose to fame as a member of South Korean girl group Lovelyz in November 2014. Kei officially made her solo debut with the EP, Over and Over on October 8, 2019. On November 16, 2021, she left Woollim Entertainment, although she remains as a member of Lovelyz. She joined Palm Tree Island in January 2022 to focus on her musical career, before moving to A2Z Entertainment later that year. In 2023, Kei participated in Mnet reality competition show Queendom Puzzle, debuting with the resulting project supergroup El7z Up in September of that year.

Nicholas Paul is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). A left winger, he was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round, 101st overall, of the 2013 NHL entry draft. He has also played for the Ottawa Senators.

Aleph , better known by their former name Aum Shinrikyo , is a Japanese new religious movement and doomsday cult founded by Shoko Asahara in 1987. It carried out the deadly Tokyo subway sarin attack in 1995 and was found to have been responsible for the Matsumoto sarin attack the previous year.
