Nothing, it seems, gets done easily in Washington, particularly when the issue involves people with a lot of money. Take the so-called expatriates' tax, a proposal intended to close a loophole with which a relatively few very wealthy Americans have avoided millions of dollars in income and estate taxes by renouncing their citizenship and moving abroad to countries with lower tax rates or more porous laws.

New Owner of MCA Is Said Close to Hiring Two Key Executives

Two top entertainment figures are to join MCA Inc., as Edgar Bronfman Jr. begins to make his mark on the big studio and music company, industry executives said tonight. In a major surprise, Ron Meyer, the president of Hollywood's top talent agency, Creative Artists Agency, is to oversee MCA's film and television business, the executives said. Mr. Meyer is a longtime ally of Michael Ovitz, the chairman of Creative Artists, who himself was nearly lured to MCA several weeks ago. And Doug Morris, who ran Warner Music's record labels until he was dismissed by Time Warner management last month, will go to MCA to start his own record label, according to people familiar with those talks.

Mehmet Ali Aybar was a lawyer, member of the Turkish parliament, the second president of the Workers Party of Turkey, the founder and President of the Socialist Revolution Party, and a member of the Russell Tribunal against the war crimes of the United States in Vietnam. He is known as one of the most prominent proponents of democratic socialism in Turkish political history.

Myanmar, officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and also referred to as Burma, is a country in northwest Southeast Asia. It is the largest country by area in Mainland Southeast Asia and has a population of about 55 million. It is bordered by India and Bangladesh to its northwest, China to its northeast, Laos and Thailand to its east and southeast, and the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal to its south and southwest. The country's capital city is Naypyidaw, and its largest city is Yangon.

NIOSH air filtration rating

1995The NIOSH air filtration ratings update with the enactment of 42 CFR 84, previously published in the Federal Register. The new regulation includes rules governing the new N95 respirator standard.[†]

The NIOSH air filtration rating is the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)'s classification of filtering respirators. The ratings describe the ability of the device to protect the wearer from solid and liquid particulates in the air. The certification and approval process for respiratory protective devices is governed by Part 84 of Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Respiratory protective devices so classified include air-purifying respirators (APR) such as filtering facepiece respirators and chemical protective cartridges that have incorporated particulate filter elements.
