POSTINGS: $5 Million Building in East New York Section of Brooklyn;Care and Housing for AIDS Patients
Brooklyn's first facility combining housing for the homeless and day treatment for AIDS and H.I.V. patients is to open next June at 2626 Pitkin Avenue, at Fountain Avenue, in the East New York section. The $5 million, 30,300-square-foot center is co-sponsored by Housing Works, a private group that provides apartments for homeless people with AIDS or H.I.V., and East New York Urban Youth Corps, a community development group.
