The New York Blood Center, which supplies about 80 percent of the blood used in New York City hospitals, agreed yesterday to overhaul its laboratory and record-keeping procedures to reduce the risk of having tainted blood reach a patient. Under a consent decree, the center agreed to procedural changes that included stricter monitoring of blood testing and more training for employees.

Elizaveta Sergeyevna Tuktamysheva is a Russian figure skater. She is the 2015 World champion, the 2021 World silver medalist, the 2015 European champion and the 2013 European bronze medalist. She has medaled 16 times on the Grand Prix series, including 5 gold medals and including gold at the 2014โ€“15 Grand Prix Final and bronze at the 2018โ€“19 Grand Prix Final. On national level she is an 8-time medalist in the Russian Championships and the 2013 Russian national champion, as well as 4-time medalist in the Russian Cup Finals. On the junior level, she is the 2012 Youth Olympic champion, 2011 World Junior silver medalist, and 2010โ€“11 JGP Final silver medalist.
