Ancestral Humans Could Speak, Anthropologists' Finding Suggests

Duke University anthropologists say they have found evidence suggesting that vocal capabilities like those of modern humans may have evolved among species of Homo line more than 400,000 years ago; say their research shows that by then, human ancestors may have had full modern complement of nerves leading to muscles of tongue and so could have been capable of forming speech sounds; say new findings indicate that Neanderthals, relatives of modern humans, could have had same gift for speech; research was conducted by Drs Richard F Kay and Matt Cartmill with assistance of former student, Michelle Balow; diagram (M)

Song Yu-bin, commonly referred to as Song Yuvin, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is best known as a contestant of Superstar K6 and Produce X 101, and for being one of the vocalists of the South Korean group Myteen. Following Myteen's disbandment in 2019, he debuted as a member of the duo B.O.Y, until their disbandment in April 2021.
