Seasoned Trial Court Judge Assigned to Microsoft Case The government's landmark antitrust case against Microsoft was assigned to Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, a seasoned trial court judge and a Clinton appointee to the federal bench, to determine how to penalize the company for abusing its monopoly power. The selection of Judge Kollar-Kotelly to replace Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson marks an important point in the antitrust case. Shares of Microsoft rose $2.93, to $62.05. [Page A1.]
