An article on Wednesday about rising tensions among family and friends over the use of electronic devices while driving rendered incorrectly part of the name of an organization that conducted a survey on the issue. It is the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, not the AAA Foundation for Highway Safety.

Correction

An article on Friday about analysts who said that China has had difficulty dissuading leaders of neighboring Myanmar from renewing fighting with rebels there misstated the timing and the site of a reported meeting between officials from the two countries. It is believed to have taken place in August, not July, and it was in Myanmar, not China.

An article on Saturday about White House visitor logs misstated the outcome of a court case the Bush administration filed in an effort to shield the names of people who met with an energy task force led by former Vice President Dick Cheney. The Supreme Court ruled for the administration  not against it  in 2004, and a federal appeals court later dismissed a lawsuit seeking the records. (A list of people who met with the task force was eventually made public in 2007 when a former Bush administration official provided it to The Washington Post.).

Because of an editing error, an article on Wednesday about the resignation of Dr. Dora B. Schriro from the Department of Homeland Security to be New York City’s correction commissioner misstated, in some copies, the location of a city jail where a bar mitzvah party was held last December for an inmate’s son. It was in the Manhattan Detention Complex, on White Street in Lower Manhattan, not on Rikers Island.

The listing of lottery results on Wednesday misstated Tuesday’s winning Mega Millions numbers. They are 4, 10, 18, 28, 50, and mega ball, 35.

The Rooms article last Thursday, about the Merce Cunningham rehearsal dance studio on Bethune Street in the West Village, referred incorrectly to plans for the studio, the dance school and the company itself to shut down. The closing is expected to take place after the company completes a final tour, which would likely take at least two years; the closing will not be “sometime in the next two years.” (Mr. Cunningham, a revolutionary American choreographer, died at his home in Manhattan, at age 90, on July 26.).

An article on Wednesday about Palm’s release of the Pixi, a version of its Pre smartphone aimed at younger users, misspelled the surname of the company’s chief executive. He is Jonathan J. Rubinstein, not Rubenstein.

An obituary by The Associated Press on Aug. 6 about Nikolaos Makarezos, one of three ringleaders of the military coup that overthrew the democratic government of Greece in 1967, misstated the reason for his 1975 death sentence, which was later commuted to life imprisonment. He was sentenced on grounds of mutiny, not treason. (He was already serving a sentence of life imprisonment for treason.) A reader pointed out the error in an e-mail message when the obituary appeared; this correction was delayed while The A.P. researched Greek court documents.
