Corrections

An article on Monday about programs that allow students to earn high school diplomas and up to two years of college credit in five years at no cost misstated the name of one of the country’s first early-college high schools, which is now a private liberal-arts college in Great Barrington, Mass. It is Bard College at Simon’s Rock, not Simon’s Rock at Bard College. The article also misstated the given name of the president of Sandhill Community College in Raeford, N.C., which has an early-college high school. He is John R. Dempsey, not Rick. 

An article on Jan. 31 about intensive searches in the St. Louis area to find long-lost relatives of teenagers who are languishing in foster care misstated the name of a suburb across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. It is Fairview Heights, Ill.; there is no Fairview, Ill.

An article on Wednesday about the history of St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan, which is struggling to survive, misspelled the name of the founder of a Roman Catholic religious order whose nuns were at the hospital in late January. She is Mother Teresa, not Theresa. 

A listing in the New Jersey Calendar in some editions on Jan. 31 misstated the hours for the Montclair Art Museum. It is open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The Advertising column on Monday, about Super Bowl commercials, referred imprecisely to the career of Christopher Guest, who directed an ad for the Census Bureau. While Mr. Guest has been both writer and director for films, he was only a writer for the 1984 film “This Is Spinal Tap.” An accompanying picture caption misstated the age of “The Simpsons” animated television show, some of whose characters appeared in a Coca-Cola ad. The show’s first episode was shown on Dec. 17, 1989, and it is now in its 21st season; it does not turn 20 this year. 

An article on Saturday about British Airways’ quarterly earnings referred incompletely to the airline’s efforts to downsize its service. In addition to reducing the number of flights, it is also using smaller planes and replacing business and first-class seats with economy seats on some routes in order to cut capacity.
