Corrections

An article last Sunday about the Boston Red Sox’ chances of winning the American League East this season misstated a batting average for one of their off-season acquisitions. Outfielder Jeremy Hermida batted .259 for the Florida Marlins last season, not .301.

A picture last Sunday with an article about Yitta Schwartz, a Satmar Hasid from Kiryas Joel, N.Y., who left perhaps 2,000 living descendants at her death last month at 93, was published in error. It showed Faige Teitelbaum, the widow of Joel Teitelbaum, the Satmar grand rabbi  not Mrs. Schwartz. (A picture of Mrs. Schwartz is at nytimes.com/nyregion.)

 An article last Sunday about Sharon Zukin, a Brooklyn College sociology professor and critic of gentrification who argues for stronger government regulation of rents and zoning, referred incorrectly to the Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn, which Ms. Zukin cited as an example of inexorable gentrification. It is a project, not a place, and city officials did not in fact rezone the property to allow the development.
