An article on Feb. 25 about the convictions in an Italian court of three Google executives of violating privacy laws because, prosecutors said, the company did not act fast enough to remove from its site a video showing teenagers harassing an autistic boy misstated how much video is regularly uploaded to YouTube, which Google bought in 2006. The company says it is 20 hours every minute, not every hour.

An article on Friday about a study that indicated that methane is leaking into the atmosphere from the East Siberian Arctic Shelf misquoted a researcher at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, who, speaking by telephone, gave an estimate of the average atmospheric concentration of methane worldwide. The researcher, Natalia Shakhova, said it was 1.7 parts per million, not 0.6 or 0.7 parts per million.

Because of an editing error, a picture caption with an article on Friday about the relatively small increase in Chinese military spending announced at the opening session of the National People’s Congress, China’s legislature, misstated the relationship of Mao Xinyu, an officer in the People’s Liberation Army who was shown attending the session, to Mao Zedong. Mao Xinyu is a grandson, not a son. 

Because of an editing error, a photo caption on Tuesday with an article about an agreement by the Supreme Court to decide whether the father of a Marine killed in Iraq may sue protesters who carried inflammatory signs as they picketed his son’s funeral misstated, in some editions, the location of the funeral. It was Westminster, Md., not Topeka, Kan. 

An article on Saturday about the announcement by Representative William D. Delahunt, Democrat of Massachusetts, that he would not seek re-election to an eighth term, misstated the number of towns in Mr. Delahunt’s district in which a majority of voters chose Scott Brown, the Republican candidate, in the January election to fill the seat of Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Twenty-nine towns in the district voted for Mr. Brown, and 12 voted for his Democratic opponent, Martha Coakley. Not all but two towns voted for Mr. Brown.

The Advertising column on Friday, about a new campaign for Zappos.com, misspelled the surname of the builder of the puppets featured in the campaign, based on incorrect information provided by the agency. He is Randy Carfagno, not Cafagno.

An article on Dec. 28 about legal battles among mobile phone companies implied incorrectly that lawsuits filed by Nokia last October and November against Apple, Samsung, LG and eight other competitors involved patent disputes. While Nokia is involved in numerous patent cases, the lawsuit filed against Apple was the only one of that group involving intellectual property issues. The others involved allegations of price-fixing for LCD screens.
