Because of an editing error, a listing on Tuesday of the winners of the Pulitzer Prizes omitted, in some copies, a finalist for editorial writing. Besides Marie Dillon of The Chicago Tribune and John G. Carlton of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, John McCormick, also of The Tribune, was a finalist.

An article on Friday about the oral antics in a hearing by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission misidentified the witness to whom the panel’s vice chairman, Bill Thomas, directed the question “What made you walk away?” The witness was Richard Bitner, a former subprime lender  not Richard Bowen III, a former Citigroup mortgage lending officer. 

A “Rebounds” note in some editions on Tuesday about Mikhail D. Prokhorov, the prospective majority owner of the Nets, quoted incorrectly from a statement by the N.B.A. In addressing a report that a company owned by Mr. Prokhorov might be in violation of economic sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe, the statement said, “U.S. companies are not prohibited from doing business in Zimbabwe; rather, they are prohibited from conducting business with specifically identified individuals or entities in that country.” The statement did not say, “U.S. companies are not prohibited from conducting business with specifically identified individuals or entities in that country.” 

A picture caption in some copies on April 5 with the Sports Briefing column misidentified the cyclist cheered at the Wall of Geraardsbergen in Meerbeke, Belgium, during the Tour of Flanders. The photograph showed Fabian Cancellara, who won the race, not Tom Boonen.

A chart on Saturday about the careers of the three top-class thoroughbreds who have won 16 consecutive races misstated, in some editions, the age of one horse when she won in her debut, at Hollywood Park, in 2007. Zenyatta was a 3-year-old, not a 2-year-old.

Jack Herer, sometimes called the "Emperor of Hemp", was an American cannabis rights activist and the author of the 1985 book The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Herer founded and served as the director of the organization Help End Marijuana Prohibition (HEMP).
