BOSTON, Aug. 22. -- Boston, most of whose citizens went calmly about their business twelve days ago when the execution of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti was stayed until midnight tonight, lost its indifference today and thousands stood in perspiring masses, blackening the northwest corner of Boston Common, while group after group of picketers, displaying placards and waving banners, were arrested by the police.
