Group Led by AT&T Invests In Web Phone Call Provider AT&T, British Telecommunications and Liberty Media Group are making a $1.4 billion cash investment in Net2Phone, an Internet telephone services provider. The deal is the latest in a series of moves by AT&T to strengthen its Internet presence. Net2Phone, which handles about 40 percent of calls routed over the Internet, said separately that it had sold a minority stake to the Internet search engine Yahoo through a stock swap valued at $150 million.
